This year I am starting a new tradition. I have taken a look at all of my images of 2008 and chose some of my favorites and now it is up to you to help me pick the "Best of 2008"!

What would be a contest without the prizes!?!

1st place: 1 16x20 mounted print of the winning image and a 15% coupon to use on prints for a future session.

Yesterday I met with the "S" family! 3 beautiful children with three different personalities. It was a lot of fun!

Today I got to see one of my favorite little guys! He was such a cute newborn and I just knew he was going to still be that beautiful baby! You might remember him from this session. He is mentioned at more sessions then any other picture I have taken=) Who can resist that face? He was such a easy going newborn and made my job so easy and today was no different.

Todays session was for the little mans Daddy who is getting ready to deploy to Iraq. We wish him a fast and safe return home!

I have the best job in the world. What could be better then meeting wonderful families and playing with their kiddo's? Seriously, nothing! Yesterday was no exception, I woke up with no rain and my date with the "F" family was a go! I met the "F's" a little over a year ago when they brought little Miss. R to see me during my Hasty Halloween and she stole the hearts of everyone who got a glance at her. How couldn't she with all that dark thick hair? Little Miss had grown so much since I had seen her last but was JUST as cute! Check out their sneak peek and Little Misses curls and big beautiful eyes!

"B" & "C" It was nice seeing you all again, please tell the Grandma's and Grandpa's I said thanks for rattling some keys. They saved me from my usual antics of bouncing up and down, funny noises and acting completely crazy! =) I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

This weekend didn't go as I had planned but I am lucky enough to have a second shooter who was able to fill my shoes. We have been in the works to get Ashley out to help and getting her on the website. It came a littler earlier then we had planned but she did an amazing job. I was so excited to go out on my first shoot under Amber Sheree Photography today. The weather couldn't have been better and my new Mommy and Daddy to be couldn't have been more adorable! Wright Park Tacoma

Today was such a beautiful day and I was so happy to enjoy it with a session! I met Little Miss.C and her Mom at Wright Park in Tacoma. I have never been and I was really missing out! This place is so beautiful, and it still had fall leaves. We wondered the park trying to please Miss. C and came away with a wet blanket, soggy pants, a cold nose and some cute pictures =)

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the "D" family. Little Miss "A" was so fun. We read books, colored and played with her doll house but what surprised me the most was how she could hang from the monkey bars! She thought it was the best thing and stayed up there forever!

Today I dodged the rain showers and managed to make it through a whole session! Woohoo! I'm so glad I did too, "D" and her Mom were so much fun to work with. To top it off "D" was such a beautiful model! She brought some cool vintage stuff from when her Mom and Aunt were younger that really set off the whole session!

Today I had a re-shoot with "K" and his family. We made our first attempt on Thursday but he was just not having it. Today, he was a completely different child. I was so happy we rescheduled!

I can't believe it's here! My husband is actually on a plane headed to Washington, it felt like the day would never come! Its pretty bitter sweet as everyone who left will not be making it home. Please keep the Canham family in your prayers! He left behind his young wife, father and two brothers. So, as I am excited, the thought of this family is heavy on my heart today.

I will be taking a couple days off from the computer to enjoy having my family all together again. If you have questions or would like to book, please email me and I will get to them in the order received.

What a crazy awesome day we had today! I got a call from my husband and he is in the US, YAY! I headed to my house this morning to meet the cable guy and on my way there where two huge rainbows in the sky and no rain! After that, I just knew it was going to be a perfect day!

I had originally cancelled todays session with Rebekah and her husband Ben, but was excited that we were able to pull it off! I just love when the weather guys are wrong =) Here are a couple peeks into our session......

Starting November booking!

I had an amazing senior session today with "E" and her best friend "C" at Pt. Defiance Park. You could tell that they had the kind of friendship that will last forever. After the longest 10 months ever, my husband will be coming home soon! I can not even begin to explain how excited I am and how hard I'm trying to get my daughter excited too. With him coming home, I will not be booking new sessions again until the end of October (except newbies). Also coming in October is a different pricing structure and new products! I soon will be offering coffee table books and full resolution disks!

With that said, check back often to snag up your Christmas session in November, they will go fast. Please remember that all Christmas orders have to be in by November 30th to have your order to you by Christmas!

A fun day at the park..

Sundays session with the "o" family ended a little early. Miss E was not having it, she was SO not in the mood. I got a big laugh, seen snot bubbles larger then I have ever seen and caught some shots that might mortify mom and dad..HA! No, it wasn't that bad, rather typical for 18 month old. We will be trying this again in a couple weeks, but until then here is some what I got.

One of the biggest perks to my job is being able to watch my clients grow. Rather it an engaged couple getting married, a family expecting or watching babies grow! Its so much fun to see the changes.

My session today with "B" couldn't have been more perfect. I photographed her Mama with her baby belly and "B" in her first week! I knew she was going to be a doll baby but WOW was she ever the cutest little thing! She was so easy going and had the best belly laugh, ever! Its amazing any of her pictures turned out because I was laughing so hard!

The little man I had in front of my camera today was bound and determined to make me work for a smile. Yesterdays maternity session was so fun! I planned on going to a field I found at sunset, but drove past before our session to see that they graded it all for more housing. I was lucky enough though to find a place on my way and it worked out just fine! Kerri was such a glowing Mommy-to-be!

The Butt's wedding!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Amy and Kelly's wedding. I had such a great time! Amy had her day SO extremely organized, I have never been to a wedding that ran so smoothly in my life! She looked gorgeous and was just glowing the whole day. It was obvious in both their eyes and how they looked at each other that the are so deeply in love!

The wedding took place at their Grandparents house and WOW was it beautiful! Just check out the pictures! Her family and friends where so fun and welcoming. It always makes for a better day when the family welcomes you in like you ARE a part of the family! I had a wonderful assistant (my sister) who helped with everything and shot everything I missed (thanks Ash for leaving little man at home)!

I recently joined this amazing organization to offer special session for our military families. I personally know the trials our military families have to go through and I'm happy to offer what I can! I will only be able to offer a few sessions a year, but will try to squeeze in as many as I possibly can! My family is finally on our down hill slope of this deployment and I hope to reach out to my fellow photographers to capture our homecoming! This is such an amazing organization and I am extremely proud to be apart of it!

If you have visited ambersheree.com recently, you may have noticed the new site! The new site is looking good now but I have had a few bumps in the road along the way. If you have emailed me within the last two weeks and never received a reply, chances are it never made it. The kinks have been worked out and it should be safe to resend any emails. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

On a brighter note, I am working on a couple new things! First being I sent in my application for oplove.org! It is a awesome organization that set military families up with photographers to send pictures to our loved ones over seas! This is very close to my heart with my husband in Africa with the USMC!

Secondly, by the end of the month I should have my online proofing set up! I am extremely excited by this with gas prices rising, this is going to allow me to keep my prices reasonable. Every client who has a session with me there on out will be given a password to a online gallery and shopping cart! WooHoo!!

They have a village that they are trying to help. There are 80 families and the majority do not work. They are collecting shoes, clothes and soccer balls for the children. I am going to do my part by giving all the profits from the sales of all 8x10's through the month of June to purchase shoes!

My Husband will be deploying in the new year and heading to Africa with the United States Marine Corp. I will start booking sessions for the new year but please allow me time to get back to you during this busy, hectic & sad time in our home.

It was an early morning in the rain for James's senior portraits! He went along with it and we got some great shots.

I also had a maternity session this afternoon that I couldn't wait to get home and look at!

I am getting a little bored with the park and I've been eyeing this place in Tacoma for awhile. I found some willing models and headed out for a test run. It was so perfect and we had so much fun! I think it will be a great location for senior pictures.

This afternoon I meet up with Jeremy, Ashley and there puppy at a local park for some fun pictures. They are expecting there first child and like most guys, you could see the fear in Jeremy's eyes every time I would ask him to touch her belly. =)

I had fun today guys and congrats! I know you two are going to be great parents and this little girl is blessed to be born into your home.

I had the pleasure today to work with this fast pace family! I say fast pace because you have to be fast with a 2 year old and one year old=) I did C's first birthday pictures and we attempted some family shots but with two little ones and a dog we had a hard time.

Just when you think our weather is looking good, we get rain. I took advantage today though and photographed my sister and brother in-law's maternity pictures. I also got to take more pictures of sweet baby E.

Saturday, we where able to take advantage of the laps in rain and take A to the pumpkin patch. She really got into it this year, she had so much fun riding in the wheelbarrow and finding her pumpkin. Here are a few pictures from the fun!

Things have been hectic around here lately. We recently found out my Husband will be leaving for Africa in December for a year. Due to this I will not be scheduling sessions for after December 10th, to allow for some family time. I will start scheduling again after the new year.

Thanks to all the families that showed up and made Hasty Halloween a HUGE success! I had a great time and met a bunch of wonderful families and kids. Here are a couple sneak peaks, if you don't see your children don't worry. I am far from done editing yet. enJOY your sneak peaks and again thanks for everyone who showed up. We should be having another Hasty session for valentines day.

This little one was so cute. She braved the cold and even slept. Her parents are truly blessed. Congrats you too on a beautiful baby girl!

Can you say spunk? This guy is full of it. He was such a crack up! Every time I snapped a shot he would close his eyes! It was awesome!

What about the cutest giraffe I have ever seen! Her mom is in a local play group my daughter and I attend.

What I am supposed to do is tell you 8 random things most people don't know about me. This will be hard since i consider myself pretty darn boring=) but here it goes......

1) I worked in a preschool for around 5 years before becoming a photographer.

2) I have to have a cup of coffee in the morning to survive, two cups if i know its going to be a long day!

3) I am a mess! If you where to see my computer desk, you would see I could use some organizing skills! =)

4) I love children's books! It could be my short attention span or my lack of time to read a "real" book, but I am always on the look out for a new children's book...........for my daughter of-course!

5) I love myself some sweats! If I am at home, I am in sweats.

6) My meat has to be well done! I don't like my cow still mooing! =)

7) I hate getting dressed up-end of story.

8) My TV is always on the Disney channel.

Okay, if you are still reading you have discovered how incredibly boring I am.
